A decade ago, two guys from Morocco – complete strangers to each other – moved to Virginia in pursuit of the American Dream. Hicham and Isalmou met as line cooks in a restaurant, became fast friends, and are now restaurant owners and entrepreneurs together. They found that they share a love of food, a fierce work ethic, and a sense of humor that never ends (really – they are always laughing).
In 2016 the duo thought of the concept Koobála – Mediterranean, Hawaiian and Latin American cuisine served in a fast casual setting all under one roof. You really can't beat it!
